A new shower head from Amazon
I bought a shower head from 日丸屋製作所 on Amazon.
Shower heads like this in Japan all have pretty much the same selling points: fine spray holes, claimed water savings of up to 80%, and a stop button on the handle, so when you're putting on shampoo you press it to stop the water instead of turning the tap, and you don't have to readjust the temperature either. This 日丸屋 one also removes chlorine.
Most Japanese shower heads use a standard fitting, so you just unscrew the old one and screw on the new one, and adapters come in the box. SANEI and Takagi also make plenty of similar models. When choosing, just check the water-saving rate, whether there's a stop button, and whether it fits the fitting in your home.
