Panasonic nanocare hair dryer model numbers
Amazon lists a whole pile of Panasonic hair dryers, but the model numbers tell you what's what. Models starting with EH-NA are the core nanocare line. A 0 after NA means the top model, with high-penetration nanoe (高浸透ナノイー); 9 is the standard model, and 2 and 7 are the compact, lightweight ones. Models starting with EH-NE are a different series, Ionity (イオニティ): a lot cheaper, and no nanoe either.
The letter at the end of the model number marks the generation. The top models of the last few years are the 2022 NA0J and the 2025 NA0K. Airflow and weight are about the same; the new one mainly adds a nozzle for taming bed head, and the colors changed. Once a new model is out, the old one usually drops a notch in price, so if you don't care about that nozzle, the NA0J is the better deal.
There are also nanocare models starting with EH-NC: a pricier tier released in 2024 that actually has less airflow and focuses on moisturizing. The EH-NB70, on sale from November 2026, is the smallest nanocare model.
Panasonic mostly releases new models in autumn, so if you want one, either wait for the new model and then check the old one's price, or wait for Prime Big Deal Days (プライム感謝祭) in October or Black Friday. The Panasonic dryers sold in China use a different set of model numbers from the Japanese ones, so when you read Chinese reviews, make sure you're looking at the right model.
