A Seki Magoroku petty knife and cutting board from Amazon

I put together a kitchen order on Amazon: a Kai Seki Magoroku (関孫六) petty knife, a lightweight Kai frying pan, plus an Asahi rubber cutting board.

The knife is from the Seki Magoroku Shoso (匠創) line, with a 150mm blade. It's made in Japan and dishwasher-safe. For peeling, cutting fruit, and trimming small pieces of meat, a small knife this length is the handiest. For cutting bigger things, pair it with a gyuto or a santoku.

The cutting board is the Asahi Cookin' Cut (アサヒクッキンカット), made of rubber, size S at 24×21cm. Rubber boards are easy on the edge, and they don't pick up deep cut marks.

The frying pan is 26cm and gas-only, so if your kitchen has an IH stove, skip this one.
