Bought a Fissler pressure cooker set on Amazon

In February 2025 I bought a Fissler Vitaquick (ビタクイック) set on Amazon: a 4.5L pressure cooker plus a 2.5L skillet.

Both pots are 22cm across and share one pressure lid, so with that lid on, the 2.5L one works as a small pressure cooker too. If you also want to cover the pot when you're cooking without pressure, Amazon has a set that comes with an extra 22cm glass lid.

There are two pressure settings, high and low. Low is for delicate things like fish, pudding and chawanmushi; high is for braising meat. It works on both gas and IH, it's made in Germany, and it's officially rated for three to four people.

Meat in Japanese supermarkets is mostly sold pre-cut by part, so 4.5L is plenty for braised ribs or beef brisket. If you want to stew whole chickens often, take a look at a bigger size.
